About Spark7

Hi! I'm Andrew. My full-time job is as the founder of Brainscape, the world's most effective flashcard app. (Here's my LinkedIn if you'd like to follow.)

Brainscape uses cognitive science to help millions of learners to prepare for professional certifications, learn foreign languages, ace high-stakes exams at school, and become smarter people in general.

But enough about Brainscape.

Spark7 is my obsessive side-project that I built by myself, to get me back into the guts of software development (since I hadn't written much code since I finished the first Brainscape prototype back in 2008). 😎

My goal with Spark7 was to build upon similar core game mechanics as my favorite classic game Drop7, but with several key overhauls around scoring, theme, dopamine triggers, and social & leaderboard functionality.

The result is a beautiful, satisfying game that blends aspects of Tetris, Dr. Mario, CandyCrush, and Sudoku into a super simple yet deceptively rich gameplay experience.
