Summary

Spark7 is a mobile puzzle game. We collect the minimum amount of data needed to run online leaderboards, deliver moderately personalized ads, process in-app purchases, and diagnose crashes. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data. This page explains exactly what is collected, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to ask us to delete it.

Data we collect

Spark7 collects the five categories of data listed below. All five are linked to your in-game identity (a random UUID created on your device). None of them are used for tracking.

Category What it actually is in Spark7 Why we collect it
User ID A random UUID (player_id) generated on your device the first time you launch Spark7. It is not a platform account ID, email, or hardware device identifier. App Functionality — to attribute your scores to a single player across sessions. Analytics — to count distinct players.
Other User Content The display name you choose for the leaderboard. App Functionality — so other players can see who set a score.
Coarse Location A two-letter country code derived from your device’s locale setting (e.g. US, GB). We do not collect GPS, IP-based geolocation, city, or any precise location. App Functionality — to render a country flag next to your leaderboard entry.
Product Interaction Gameplay statistics: final score, level reached, turn count, game seed. App Functionality — to populate per-game and global leaderboards. Analytics — to understand which game configurations players reach.
Crash Data Operational error logs (error context, message, and a small amount of structured metadata) sent through our internal logging layer when something goes wrong. Analytics — to diagnose and fix bugs.

What we do not collect

To be explicit, Spark7 does not collect any of the following:

  • Your real name, email address, phone number, or postal address
  • Precise location, GPS coordinates, IP address geolocation, or city
  • Contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or camera data
  • Health, fitness, or financial information
  • Browsing or search history outside of Spark7
  • Payment card or banking details — all purchases are handled directly by Apple or Google and we never see your payment information

Third-party services

Spark7 uses a small number of third-party services. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job.

  • Supabase — our backend database and API host. Receives leaderboard records (display name, country code, player_id, score, gameplay statistics) and crash/error logs. See supabase.com/privacy
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — serves the banner and interstitial ads in Spark7. See Google’s partner-sites policy
  • Apple StoreKit (iOS only) — processes in-app purchases such as Remove Ads and replay packs. Apple receives whatever is required to complete the transaction; we receive only a confirmation that the purchase succeeded and which product was bought. See apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Google Play Billing (Android only) — same role as StoreKit for Android purchases. See policies.google.com/privacy
  • iOS / Android Share Sheet — when you tap “Invite Friends,” Spark7 hands a short message to your operating system’s standard share sheet. Spark7 does not record who you share with or whether you share at all.

Retention

  • Leaderboard records (display name, country code, player_id, score, gameplay statistics) are kept for as long as Spark7 operates online leaderboards, so historical scores remain meaningful. They are deleted when you submit a deletion request (see below).
  • Crash and error logs are kept for up to 90 days for diagnostic purposes and then purged.
  • Local data on your device (save_data.json, pending_scores.json) lives only on your device and is removed when you uninstall Spark7 or clear its app data.

Your rights and how to delete your data

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what data is associated with your player_id or display name
  • Correct your display name
  • Delete your leaderboard records and any associated stored data

To make any of these requests, email drewcoventures@gmail.com with the subject “Spark7 deletion request” and include either your in-game display name or your player_id. We will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The email address above is the right place to start for any of those requests.

Children

Spark7 is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to Spark7, please contact us at the email address above and we will delete it.

Security

Data sent between Spark7 and our backend, AdMob, and the App Store / Play Store is transmitted over HTTPS using each platform’s standard networking libraries. Spark7 does not implement any custom or proprietary cryptography. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we keep the surface area small by collecting as little as possible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the Effective date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be surfaced inside the Spark7 app where appropriate.
